Twining (DD-540) keel was laid down on 20 November 1942 at San
Francisco, Calif., by the Bethlehem Steel Co.; launched 11 July 1943, sponsored by Mrs. Sanford B. Dole Wood; and commissioned 1 December 1943, Cmdr. Ellis Kerr Wakefield in command. She was decommissioned and stricken from the Navy list on 1 July 1971 and was sold on 16 August 1971 to Taiwan for use by the Chinese Nationalist Navy under the name of;Final Pictures ??
